Christmas Carol Interview, Winter Solstice Concert, CD Sales

Terry Tucker and Ardyth GilbertsonTodd Coyle has published a great interview with me about my Christmas carol collection, performances, Christmas traditions and experiences.   It’s in the current edition of a cutting edge, sharp new online magazine, Fluent, which features the arts, culture and events in our area.  His column is called OF AYRES & CAROLS & CHRISTMAS FAIRE
Check it out.  www.fluent-magazine.com He’s asked some unusual and great questions and I had fun answering them.  The story of making the Ancient Ayres & Carols for Christmas CD with Ardyth Gilbertson,   is included in this interview.  If you don’t have this CD already, this is a good time to buy it.  It makes a great Christmas gift and stocking stuffer. You can get both this CD and my latest, Lantern in a Poet’s Garden together for a special holiday price. Here are some things people have said about these CDs..

I’ve listened to this album many times. it’s great! totally unlike the typical Christmas album of standards we’ve all heard countless times. wonderful harmonies, lovely carols.
Hyder “Ray” Raza cool old carols

I was pleasantly charmed on my way to work this Christmas season by the yuletide songs of Terry Tucker and her companion. There are some traditional carols but mostly old English Christmas melodies. Recommended to put some definite cheer into the holiday season!
Betty Jo Rockwell Ancient Ayres and Carols for Christmas

Ancient Ayres & Carols for Christmas by Terry Tucker and Ardyth Gilbertson provides the listener with a moment of peace, beauty, and joy in the midst of a chaotic world.
John Burns Ancient ayres & Carols For Christmas

What a wonderful change! Really neat ancient carols, without the same old repeats found on most other Christmas albums. Great harmonies; beautiful blending of voice and instrument. Just set the CD player on “repeat” and let ‘er rip.
Anne Eden Ancient ayres & Carols For Christmas

Here it is, weeks after Christmas, and I’m still playing this CD and humming or singing along with it. It’s somehow both soothing and invigorating, with a Celtic feel. My absolute favorite songs are “The Holly and the Ivy” and “Green Grow’th the Holly,” but unlike most of the CDs I have, I enjoy every single song.

Charlotte Baker Shenk Ancient Ayres & Carols for Christmas

I found myself literally just listening to this one CD over and over again throughout the season. It’s sweet; it’s simple; has a way of just easing the spirit. I especially loved the Hodie.
